Playing OOT N64 Through Crazy Guitar Pedals *Epilepsy Warning*

by | Mar 19, 2022 | 0 comments

Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time but played through Guitar Pedals.

All of the Audio and Video was generated from the N64 and routed through my guitar pedals via a lot of converters.

Some say the Nintendo 64 is the best gaming console ever. Some say the Klon Centaur Professional Overdrive is the best pedal ever. How will they mix?

Heavily featured in the video is the Nintendo 64 (obviously), Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time, the Wish Klon Centaur Clone, The EarthQuaker Devices Rainbow Machine, TC Electronic Triple Delay, Bananana Effects Abracadabra, Behringer Super Fuzz SF300, Empress Effects Nebulus, Digitech Polara, TC Electronic Blood Moon, Electro-Harmonix Deluxe Memory Boy, Behringer Ultra Vibrato UV300, and the Boss Phase Shifter PH-3

To make the conversion happen I used a series of RCA Y cables, RCA to quarter inch converters, and the JHS Buffered Splitter. I sent the video to a TV and a laptop via a RCA to USB convertor. I didn’t account for how these two devices had different decoders which made them glitch differently.

With all of the glitches in the video signal I have no idea if it’s actually dangerous but I wanted to play it safe with the Epilepsy Warning.
